About EYARC

Eastern York Area Recreation Commission has been providing quality care since 2002. Our program is designed to meet the needs of all children and provides a safe and educational environment which children can thrive and grow.

Mission Statement

The Eastern York Area Recreation Commission exists to offer a wide variety of recreational and educational opportunities and services to the citizens of Eastern York County. Programs are designed to promote physical, intellectual and emotional well-being of the participant thereby contributing to quality of life.

The Eastern York Area Recreation Commission (EYARC) was founded in November of 2002 with the assistance of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR). EYARC was created out of the great demand shown for organized recreational opportunities in your area. Operation of EYARC began in April of 2003.

The Eastern York Area Recreation Commission is a not-for-profit organization that is committed to encouraging a sense of community in the Eastern York Area by providing professionally organized recreational and educational programs and activities. The Commission is dedicated to bringing you programs available in athletics, fitness, recreation, education, culture, entertainment, wellness, family events, child care, and travel opportunities for community members of all ages.
