Eastern York Area Recreation Commission has been providing quality care since 2002. Our program is designed to meet the needs of all children and provides a safe and educational environment which children can thrive and grow.

Our Mission
“The Eastern York Area Recreation Commission strives to
provide exceptional and inclusive care to school-age
children of the Eastern York School District. Providing a
nurturing and supportive environment that guides
children and their families to reach their full potential.
We provide programs designed to partner with families
and local organizations to prioritize educational growth
and the development of children’s problem-solving skills,
creativity, and critical thinking. We create educational
opportunities for children to thrive and grow while
maintaining open communication with families.”

The Eastern York Area Recreation Commission (EYARC) was founded in November of 2002 with the assistance of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR). EYARC was created out of the great demand shown for organized recreational opportunities in your area. Operation of EYARC began in April of 2003.
The Eastern York Area Recreation Commission is a not-for-profit organization that is committed to encouraging a sense of community in the Eastern York Area by providing professionally organized recreational and educational programs and activities. The Commission is dedicated to bringing you programs available in athletics, fitness, recreation, education, culture, entertainment, wellness, family events, child care, and travel opportunities for community members of all ages.
