Our Philosophy
The Eastern York Area Recreation Commission provides an educational and
nurturing environment for children aged five to thirteen. We believe that
children learn best through hands-on experiences with peers and staff
modeling positive reinforcement and encouraging developmentally
appropriate activities through creativity and respect.
We are committed to providing an atmosphere inclusive, unbiased, and safe
for all children and their families. As educators, we understand the key role
families play in the development of children and use open communication
with families to create a foundation for a successful learning experience with
the understanding of diversity and culture for all children. Children and
families are encouraged to collaborate with our educators by sharing and
participating in daily activities and communications. In collaborating with
families, a child’s prime developmental milestones will be achieved.
I make it a priority to provide a safe and inviting environment for all of our families and students. With all of our services, parents feel calm and safe whenever they leave their children in our care. As an experienced Childcare Provider, I am here to provide the best staff and quality care you children deserve.

The SACC program is held at Canadochly, Wrightsville and Kreutz Creek Elementary Schools for children enrolled in kindergarten through 5th grade, in the Eastern York School District. We offer Before and After school care from 6:30 a.m. until school starts and from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. Care is provided in the Gym/Stage area at each school. We provide homework assistance and an array of activities including arts and crafts, free play time, group games, physical fitness activities, and special events. We are licensed through the Department of Public Welfare, as well as a participant with Keystone Stars, and Childcare Consultants, Inc.
